As if all the girl was was a character on stage, when the kiss, or whatever you could call that, broke, so did her bravado. The instant their lips parted, Luna once again became the innocent young woman who was recognizable by anyone. How was she supposed to even react? As expected, this was her first experience involving anything more than the semi-average. But, the situation had another twist. She wasn’t embarrassed or ashamed of what had just happened. Was this confidence? The type of so-called confidence that she found herself in did have it’s faults, though. She was content that nothing had gone horribly amiss, but still scared of her next mood. Confident of the past, scared of the future.
With a slight smile, Luna slid herself completely into Mark’s lap, once again getting comfortable enough to watch the movie. “Pay more attention and you get more kisses,” she said with a smirk that no one could see. Since when did she start smirking? Since when was she confident? Whatever it was, the girl could certainly learn how to embrace it. By the time she was tuned back in to her environment, America as coming to a close. Well, shit, she’d completely missed a seven minute number. At the moment, she wasn’t sure if that was good or bad. Neutrality seemed to be a good position, but her body screamed otherwise. It was still reeling, wanting more. The place where his hands had been still burning, her lips still tingling, like they had several nights before.
As the movie progressed and Luna waited for more facts to be shot out, she began to lean backwards, to simply get more comfortable. Suddenly, it was like she’d been pulled back to a stupid, grade 8 health class. Against her lower back, let’s just say. Although innocent, the girl wasn’t completely stupid. One side of her brain wanted to react like a child, pull away and practically run. But, she had do be grown up about it. So, even though lost over what to do, she remained calm, watched the movie, and hoped for the best.
Mark felt a little nervous when she slid in his lap, he just hoped she wouldn’t notice… “I can do that.” He mumbled into her ear, kissing it afterwards.. loving her smirking. He drove his attention back to the screen, feeling a little lost. “So, until I get back up on the plot… I’ve understood that.. the Jets are white, right? Like East European dudes. The Jets are Puerto Rican, right?” he said, before waiting and watching the movie a little more. Not being able to catch up, since the last scene he had actually seen, was way different than the one they were watching now. “Uhmm… I think that girl in the pink dress… Anita? is on Maria’s side? With the Tony thing, right?” He said, furrowing his eyebrows.
He was getting more worried as seconds went by, he had always been able to control his body and he had learned how to control his hormones, so whenever someone kissed him, it wouldn’t happen. But he was not prepared for this situation, he never thought he’d had a beautiful girl sitting on his lap.. and even though he tried, he just couldn’t relax. He was started and the.. situation was getting harder. But he’d try to relax the situation with Luna. “Okay, I’m lost. What if you kiss me just because I’m adorable and I tried?” he batted his lashes in the silliest way, just wanting to forget about it. But it was certainly not going to help, his pants felt so tight it was getting uncomfortable.
He nuzzled Luna’s shoulder for a second when she leaned back, but then he realized she noticed. Shit, he thought, brilliant, Mark, just fucking brilliant. Even though he wanted to tell her something that’d make her feel better… but it would be stupid. How could he apologize for that? And how would he even explain it? ‘It’s just that you turn me on.’ that wouldn’t be the best idea, plus it’d sound pervy, and she’d probably just slap him and walk away, which he didn’t want. Even though he blushed the most awful shade of red ever, he didn’t leave her shoulder, he was still nuzzling it. What was he going to do? Probably… the first idea was… the most prudent. “I’m sorry.” he mumbled, hoping she’d hear it.
As Luna sat alone downstairs, she felt the weight of her words crash onto her shoulders. She never exploded on people....
For some reason, Luna’s words hurt him. Good job, idiot. He looked down as she spoke, his brows furrowed. “I’m sorry,...
